DR. SHIH-WEN WINNIE FAN is Principal Clarinet of the Central Texas Philharmonic, appointed in 2013 by Maestro Stefan Sanders. She has also served as the Director of Admissions and Student Affairs for the Taipei Music Academy and Festival since 2019, where she contributes to the development of emerging talent in the classical music world.

Described by the International Clarinet Association Journal as having "...played with bold dynamic range...with expressive legato...", Dr. Fan's recognitions include the second prize in the International Clarinet Association Orchestral Audition Competition, winner of Brevard Music Centre Concerto Competition and Montecito International Summer Music Festival Solo Competition.
For over a decade, Dr. Fan has been a dedicated and passionate clarinet instructor in the Greater Houston area. Her students consistently achieve high honors, including frequent selection for TMEA All-State, membership in the Houston Youth Symphony, solo competition wins, and various other recognitions. In 2023, her excellence in teaching was recognized with a nomination for the TMTA Award of Outstanding Pre-College Teaching by the Katy Music Teacher Association. In addition to her teaching, Dr. Fan founded the Winnie Fan Volunteer Performance Program, a community initiative that brings joy and comfort to the Greater Houston area through music, enriching the lives of those in need.

Beyond her musical career, Dr. Fan enjoys traveling and is a proud cat lover. Her feline friends keep her grounded and remind her to always nurture a sense of wonder and curiosity. She believes that exploring the world brings invaluable lessons, deepening her understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures.

A concert pianist, DR. SUNJUNG LEE, actively performs as a soloist and chamber musician. She also has been featured as a soloist with orchestras and has been invited to participate as a guest pianist in prestigious music festivals such as Atlantic Music Festival, Beijing International Music Festival and Academy, Busan International Music Festival, and Music Fest Perugia. 

Dr. Lee is deeply involved in enriching the community through outreach programs and performing at unconventional venues such as hospitals, retirement centers, and schools. She performs regularly with her piano trio, Trio713, and is a pianist at the Center for Performing Arts Medicine at the Houston Methodist Hospital. Dr. Lee has also served as the director of the Cy-Fair Chamber Music Series and has appeared on KUHF Houston Public Radio on 87.9 FM. Also, a CD album “Archipelago of Light'' that she participated as a guest pianist was released in 2013 by Delos Music.

Dr. Lee has received her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Kansas and Master of Music in Piano Chamber Music and Accompanying at the Shepherd School of Music.

DR. PEI-LEI LIN is a distinguished pianist and educator, currently serving as Professor of Piano and Deputy Director of the Department of Music Education at the University of Jinan in Shandong, China. She is also an external doctoral supervisor at Pacific University in the Philippines, a council member of the Shandong Piano Professional Committee, and a collaborative supervisor for the Master of Fine Arts program at Shandong Normal University.

With an active career both domestically and internationally, Dr. Lin has made significant contributions to the world of piano performance and education. Her performances have been highly praised, most notably by world-renowned conductor Maestro Stanislaw Skrowaczewski, who described her interpretation of Ginastera’s "Danzas Argentinas" as "lifelike, with a distinct personality that leaves a lasting impression." In 2020, she was invited to Northern State University in the United States as a guest artist, and in 2017, she held a solo piano recital at the prestigious Shandong Provincial Capital Grand Theater. 
 

Dr. Lin has been deeply involved in nurturing the next generation of musicians. Her students have gained admission to world-renowned institutions such as Carnegie Mellon University, the Royal Conservatory of Music, and York University. Her dedication to teaching extends beyond the classroom, having conducted masterclasses and lectures internationally. 

In recent years, Dr. Lin has also served as a juror for several major competitions, including the Shandong Division of the 13th China Music Golden Bell Award Piano Competition and the 2021 Hannover International Piano Olympia Competition (China region).
 

Dr. Lin earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Minnesota, Master’s in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at Austin, and Bachelor’s in Music from National Taiwan Normal University.
